Quadrant Estates appoints British Land’s John Maddison
Quadrant Estates bolsters retail team with appointment of John Maddison
Quadrant Estates, the private property investment and development company, has appointed John Maddison to further expand its presence in the Retail Park sector.
Maddison was until recently Head of Retail Warehouse Asset Management at British Land PLC and was responsible for managing the company’s portfolio of Retail Parks & Shopping Parks. Previously he was a Senior Asset Manager at British Land PLC working predominantly on the Hercules Unit Trust, the largest leading specialist vehicle in the sector. Prior to that he was at Henderson Global Investors where he had been the Portfolio Manager for the £1.2bn Henderson UK Retail Warehouse Fund and held other previous roles at Savills and Hillier Parker working as an out of town specialist for some 15 years.
Maddison was appointed Chairman of retail industry body Accessible Retail in March 2010 and held this position for two years. He won the Young Property Professional of the Year at the 2011 EG awards.
Quadrant Estates’ 1.15m sq.ft. retail park portfolio includes retail parks in Oxford, Glasgow, Sunderland, Colchester, Birmingham, and as of March 2015, the Sauchiehall Centre in Glasgow.
