Quadrant Estates boosts retail team with appointment of CBRE’s Vanessa Buchan
Quadrant Estates, the private property development and investment company, has appointed Vanessa Buchan, from CBRE’s Central London Retail Agency as an Associate Partner to its retail team. Buchan will focus on retail asset management and will work with Founding Partner Christopher Daniel and Partner James Bidwell on its expanding retail proposition, including the Tuscany portfolio of retail parks in Oxford, Glasgow and Sunderland, and Gallagher Retail Park, Junction 9, on which Quadrant Estates acts as the Asset Manager on behalf of KKR.
As a Senior Surveyor at CBRE’s Central London Retail Agency (September 2011 – September 2014) Buchan specialised in advising a range of property companies and institutional clients on their leasing and asset management strategies for their central London retail portfolios. She also advised a variety of British and foreign retailers in regards to their expansion plans in Central London, and represented them in their acquisition of new stores, up-size or relocations. Her expertise also includes due diligence, market intelligence, development and rental advice.
Prior to this she was a Graduate Surveyor in CBRE’s Investment Valuation division (February 2011 – September 2011), having joined CBRE’s West End Offices Lease Consultancy (April 2010 – January 2011) as a Graduate Surveyor.
A multi-linguist, Buchan has a BA Hons in Land Economy from Queens’ College Cambridge University (2005-2008) and holds an International Baccalaureate Diploma from C.I.V. International School of Sophia Antipolis, France (1998-2005). She is also a member of RICS.
