Quadrant Estates secure final letting at Great Western Retail Park
Quadrant Estates, asset manager for Great Western Retail Park, Glasgow has now secured a new tenant for the last remaining unit on the park. Since acquiring the park the two vacant units of 10,000 sq ft each have been let to Oak Furniture land and B&M, two of the UK's fastest growing retailers, at headline rents of up to £23 per square foot. B&M will commence trading in December 2014.
Great Western Retail Park is located in a prime location approximately six miles north west of Glasgow City Centre and is accessible by car and train. It comprises 250,000 sq ft of retail warehousing with parking for 1,375 cars. The park has a strong retail mix with tenants including Sainsbury’s, B&Q Warehouse, Currys / PC World, Harveys, SCS, Wren Kitchens and Carpetright.
Founding Partner of Quadrant Estates, Christopher Daniel commented:
“These lettings will help to drive further footfall and widen the attractiveness of the park. Their presence combined with our proposed works to enhance the overall scheme is a major step towards our goal of ensuring Great Western remains a major retailing destination in North West Glasgow.
We have a clear strategy for improvements to the retail park. As well as ensuring the park is now fully let to quality tenants, we have also recently submitted a planning application to refurbish the car park layout across the park, improve the landscaping and develop three restaurant / drive thru units.”
Smart 4 and JLL acted for KKR and Quadrant Estates on the letting as well as advising on the further enhancements to the Park.
