Sports Direct has secured a 13,000 sq ft letting at the soon-to-be refurbished Sauchiehall Building in Glasgow. The sports retailer, which bought a new £108m Oxford Street HQ last week, has taken a new 10-year lease on the former JJB Sports unit at 185 Sauchiehall Street. Planning consent has recently been secured for redevelopment of both corners of the Sauchiehall Building to provide restaurant units. Advanced legal negotiations are ongoing with a national restaurant on the eastern corner, and there are various interests being considered from restaurant and coffee shop operators on the western corner.
