Quadrant sign new Italian Restaurant at YY, Canary Wharf 

• Developer Quadrant has signed a new occupier at YY London, its newly refurbished 415,000 sq ft office scheme in Canary Wharf
• Italian restaurant group Big Mamma has agreed a 15-year lease for around 9,500 sq ft of space
• Big Mamma to open its doors to customers in June

Quadrant has signed another food and beverage (F&B) occupier at its newly refurbished Canary Wharf office building.

Italian restaurant group Big Mamma has agreed a 15-year lease for around 9,500 sq ft of space at YY London, with plans to open its doors to customers in June.

The deal is the latest in a raft of F&B lettings to have completed at the 415,000 sq ft scheme. Earlier this year, Eastern Mediterranean restaurant group Brother Marcus have taken around 2,861 sq ft on a 20-year lease. Danish espresso bar Hagen has also recently opened its seventeenth outlet at YY London – a 1,141 sq ft bar on a 10-year lease.

Big Mamma will join the duo on YY London’s ground floor, facing directly onto the open spaces of Jubilee Plaza opposite the Jubilee Line Underground Station and the new waterfront Eden Dock.

YY London was purchased in 2019 by a joint venture between Quadrant and funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management, to extensively refurbish the building to a modern standard. The refurbishment completed in 2023.

Located at 30 South Colonnade, the office building boasts an EPC A, BREEAM Outstanding, and WELL Platinum ratings. Amenities include a roof terrace, 30 showers, 388 lockers, and around 306 bicycle racks.

In June 2024, global fintech firm Revolut signed a deal to relocate its headquarters to YY London, taking 113,000 sq ft of space across four floors at the building.
