Planning permission for Gallagher Retail Park

Jul 01, 2015

Planning consent has been granted for three new restaurant pods and parking facilities at Gallagher Retail Park, Junction 9, M6. Construction of the restaurant pods on the Park which was acquired by KKR and Quadrant Estates in June 2014, will commence at the beginning of 2016 and they will be open for trade by September 2016. Quadrant Estates, the asset manager of the Park, has already received expressions of interest in the three new pods from a number of national restaurant groups. Quadrant Estates partner James Bidwell said: “This key regional retail park already has high profile tenants including Next, Currys, TK Maxx, Outfit, Mamas and Papas and Boots. It is immediately adjacent to the motorway junction and benefits from a large catchment population. The new restaurant scheme will provide a greater vibrancy and vitality to Gallagher Retail Park. As the asset manager our aim is to improve the overall tenant mix, sense of place, increase footfall and dwell time. Included in the proposal are substantial improvements to public realm, access, car parking and landscaping. Ultimately this will help to enhance Gallagher Retail Park’s existing offering and improve the public enjoyment with these new leisure additions.”
